This porcelaine tableware set was designed over a theme 'party'. To me, a party is a special moment when the air fills with joy and color.
With my Akvarelli tableware set I wanted to bring this feeling of specialty in everyday life.
I like to think the little novelties such as a delicious dinner or a nice cup of tea should deserve a little bit more celebration!
Materials: porcelaine, glazing
Bis means again in italian. With this tableware set, where the size of each dish has been decreased to minimum and characteristics are determined by various techniques, i wanted to create playfulness and higher appreciation for food as an experience. By re-filling the minuscule plate, having a bis, i wish to arouse new discoveries while exploring the simple joy of dining.
Materials: porcelaine, glass, cork

SPIRIT OF THE PLACE
SPIRIT OF THE PLACE was born in 2016 during the Shaping the Future - Ceramics and its Dimensions -workshop in Kahla in central Germany in collaboration with Saija Halko and Hanna-Kaarina Heikkilä.
The idea was to work in the context using the local resources and materials. We wanted to pay more attention to the meaning of the local spirit, materials and resources that are available and use our experiences for creating unique products and art objects.
By using the resources and waste material found from the factory site and in nearby areas, and by combining traditional techniques, material research and new technology, we created works where the features of the local area is seen. The work consists of several collages and complementary photographs.
